Whiteside County Department of Information Technology
Assigned Work Week: 70 hours/pay period w/benefits
Abilities needed include: providing support for Whiteside County Windows Active Directory Services and VMware. Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, applications, hardware, and computer peripherals. Firewall maintenance and system backups.
Job Duties: Under the supervision of the Information Technology Director:
- Perform special projects as assigned. Projects may include network hardware installations and upgrades.
- Provide telephone support to end-user community on hardware, software and network related problems, questions, and use.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Windows Active Directory Services, VMware, Microsoft certification and Groupwise experience preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years experience
Probationary Period: 6 months
