Client Systems Administrator
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at Western New England University seeks an energetic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Client Systems Administrator. The Client Systems Administrator is responsible for, administering, distributing, and supporting centralized solutions for the management of the desktop computing environment using enterprise tools, utilities, and applications. Responsibilities include the development of solutions supporting client endpoint management (security management, asset management, patch management), software packaging, desktop Imaging, and desktop virtualization.
The Client Systems Administrator when required, provides advanced desktop support for client systems, provides training and acts and the primary technical escalation point for the Service Desk and Desktop Support staff. Candidate will also function as a project lead for small to medium sized projects or as a resource for large sized projects.
This position requires a wide range of experience and knowledge related to information technology management and processes. This individual must have a good understanding of the work and challenges related to customer service, application development, desktop support, network management, and general technology and information processing standards. This uniquely broad skill set is vital, as it enables the Client Systems Administrator to work effectively within all areas of the OIT organization. The Client Systems Administrator will work collaboratively with server administrators and desktop support staff to effectively create and distribute solutions
Candidates for the Client Systems Administrator must have earned Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited College or University or equivalent education and experience administering enterprise desktop management tools including Microsoft SCCM and software packaging for installation automation.
