JOB SUMMARY
This position provides technology service and support at an engineering level to elevate the reliability, stability, security and performance of all systems in leveraging efficiencies for Credit Union personnel through use of computing technologies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Utilize service desk system to resolve issues reported and route tickets appropriately.
- Manage, maintain, and support virtualization architectures for desktops and servers.
- Maintain, support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDIs) for service desk personnel.
- Manage, maintain, and support security program as it pertains to the infrastructure.
- Utilize the monitoring of sophisticated systems to ensure operational functionality.
- Manage and maintain an array of systems software for the enterprise computing environment.
- Troubleshoot, coordinate, and manage any/all issues with technology peripherals.
- Participate in on-demand disaster recovery testing scenarios.
- Design, configure, and manage the backup/restoration systems.
- Manage, maintain, and support infrastructure environment for data center facilities.
- Manage, maintain, and support hyper-converged infrastructures.
- Manage, maintain, and support application, database, and web servers.
- Responsible for updates, releases, patches, and firmware of all servers in the data centers.
- Manage, maintain, and support operating system variants.
- Manage, maintain, and support the storage management systems.
- Perform IT on-call duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Knowledge of:
- Experience working within ITIL and ITSM environments
- Virtualization architectures and environments
- Windows and UNIX operating systems and associated systems software
- Performance and optimization knowledge in fast-paced server architectures
- Problem solving of complex technological environments
- Engineering principals in infrastructure technologies
- Ability to:
- Think creatively
- Analyze and solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations
- Read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form

QUALIFICATIONS
Critical Development Experiences:
Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development through training, education and self-study
Successfully complete all applicable compliance training and testing
Education and experience equivalent to:
Seven to ten years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
A four-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 128 credit hours
REQUIREMENTS
Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity. The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.

This position also requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our members and the Credit Union.
