Borough of Lansdale has a full-time position for an IT Technology Systems Administrator. Under direct supervision of the Technology Manager GIS/Information Technology Coordinator, the position is responsible for maintaining all Borough computers, network servers and phone technology in business settings. Other duties include: working daily with hardware, repairing or replacing defective equipment, installing new or upgraded software and conducting testing on new or current software, responsible for diagnosing problems in computer hardware and may be called upon to troubleshoot problems for users, and may work in a help desk or on-call position, collect outdated equipment for recycling or disposal and will usually be the person responsible for installing new computers and attaching peripheral equipment such as printers, etc.

High school diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years’ experience in technology support or related field or an Associate’s degree in a related field required.

Preferred (but not required) technical certifications:

CompTIA IT Fundamentals

CompTIA A+

MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate)

ITIL Fundamentals
