Responsibilities:
The Director of Technology & Communications is responsible for monitoring the technical operations in the agency. This position manages and makes recommendations to ensure the efficiency of network systems and stability of business functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols and communication chain process to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Continuously improving effectiveness and efficiency of IT processes
- Works collaboratively with internal partners to ensure lines of communication are in place for team engagement.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- At least ten years of experience managing an IT department.
Special Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, O365, ChromeOS, Active Directory, Mac OS/X & Windows XP/7/10, Server 2003/2008/16/19 VMWARE, Internet, E-mail, SSH, Telnet, Cisco IOS, Junos/Juniper, Meraki, RBH/Access Control, Power BI
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician - MCP/Certified & Network + Certified
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
