The purpose of this class is to perform professional administrative work supporting a functional area within assigned College department or function.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale. 
 
 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study and two years of relative experience.  A certificate Computer Technology is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license in good standing with violation points less than five (5).

 Class Specific Essential Duties:

  1. Coordinate a functional process within assigned College department or division.
  2. Implement department programs or initiatives.
  3. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  4. Maintain department records and files, as required.
  5. Conduct and attend meetings, as required.
  6. Supervise, advise, and evaluate assigned staff, as required.
  7. Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
  8. Identify access and analyze program data in the college's Banner and Con Ed Supp system as well as Maryland State data system.

 Position Specific Essential Duties:

  1. Plan, schedule, and coordinate the Center for Adult & Family Literacy's adult education data collection and reporting, data analysis, and management of the Literacy Adult Community Education System (LACES).
  2. Enter or monitor the entry of all LWIS data and the downloading of reports and documents ensuring data are accessible to staff and other stakeholders.
  3. Develop and implement systems to improve performance outcomes with regards to all adult basic education programs.
  4. Develop various reports for the analysis of data for internal and external outcomes reporting purposes.
  5. Provide professional development for any data reporting and/or collection personnel to ensure accuracy of outcome data.
  6. Manage the development and execution of CAFL's Data Quality Plan.
  7. Attend state MIS Specialist meetings and communicate pertinent information to appropriate local program staff and faculty as well as manage the implementation of all new State mandated procedures as it relates to data collection and reporting.
  8. Attend state professional development activities.
